From what?

KnowledgePerson.com originates:

1. From the description of the questions, which represent this website

The work to describe the world and humans in it, which might be understandable for everyone, including children, in order to make education whole was started and done by my father (he is inventor, teacher and trainer, has PhD, now in retirement) in the beginning of 1990th. We (my mother – also inventor and teacher, now in retirement and I) assisted him in this work to make its text ready for publishing. But at that time we could not find the opportunities to publish it.

2. From the definition of knowledge concept

There are many talks about what knowledge is. Let me represent my definition openly deduced from Collins English explanatory dictionary:

knowledge – the facts or experience known by a person ... ;

knownidentified;

identify – to understand ...;

understand – to know and comprehend the nature or meaning of, to know what is happening or why it is happening ...;

happen – to be or do something;

actiondoing something for a particular purpose.

Thus understanding of action within natural limitations is knowledge.

We are always limited in our actions and can not act beyond Nature. Space, time, something or someone else ... are our natural limitations.

“I like very much your approach. I would call a terminology based on this approach a “well–formed” terminology. At first, you try to define without any ambiguity a list of core concepts. Then other concepts are based on these definitions. Loops are forbidden (e.g. “knowledge” defined by the concept “skill” and “skill” defined by the concept “knowledge”). This approach is to me very meaningful. I encourage you to participate to the different on line events dedicated to the KM terminology in order to present this approach. Morevoer, you can use the "SIG theory and terminology" to diffuse your definitions for other concepts. I would appreciate to have an alternative terminology with other objectives and based on a different approach than the CEN's one”.

(Philippe Perez, France, from the reply to the Nikolay Kryachkov’s proposal at knowledgeboard.com)

3. From Knowledge Workers to Knowledge Persons

There are no more borders between work and free time, if to deal with knowledge. We think even when we sleep. That is why we should have, create, use and share knowledge not only when we work, but also when we learn, teach children, consume, vote, go in for sport ... – live. Networking becomes netliving. Peter Drucker was right when he spoke about Knowledge Workers. Now it is time for Knowledge Persons.

“ ... any method that you will stake your reputation on as opening up organisation for knowledge workers or whatever we call people who want a promise that if they put all their learning and energy into an organisation, everything is being done in that organisation to sustain a better future for everyone”.

(Christopher Macrae, United Kingdom, from the discussion with Nikolay Kryachkov at knowledgeboard.com)

4. From the evolution of consulting business

Selling paper reports about what a client should do further is a widespread and first stage of consulting business.

The second one is interim management when guest managers execute tasks together with the client staff.

Interim management (IM): “A ‘good interim’ rapidly understands a new client in usually say a week and that is why they are so effective”.
Management Consultancy (MC): “Consultants can be around for a long time never really understanding the client ...”.

(Peter Luiks, Netherlands, at xing/openbc.com)

But hiring interim managers requires allowing them to be insiders.

The natural third stage is how to become self-consulted and only if the specific question arises ask the consultants for their professional advice.

Consider the benefits of the third stage of consulting business.
